Current Studies of Traditional Chinese Medicine: A Review

中草藥在臺灣一向被民眾廣泛使用。本文嘗試就最近有關中草藥臨床研究之重要文獻作一評介。首先，評述中草藥療效研究之論文；其次，評述中草藥所致不良作用之論文。目前已有一些中草藥對某些疾病療效佳之報導，令人鼓舞。唯亦有一些中草藥引起不良作用之報導，提醒醫界及民眾要警覺與追蹤。最後，就相關議題，予以討論。

The use of Chinese medicine is quite common in Taiwan. In this review, we have highlighted recent literature on clinical studies of Chinese medicine. The first part deals with 'therapeutic studies', and the second part with adverse reactions and interactions. There are encouraging examples of effective Chinese medicinal therapy. On the other hand, certain adverse reactions and interactions due to Chinese medicines also call for quality control and increased awareness.
