This research aimed to investigate the relationships between attachment and interpersonal relationship of immigrant brides’ children. In order to collect data, a questionnaire was developed. The sample consisted of 2,069 students, and there were 184 immigrant brides’ children out of the 2,069 students. The findings of this research were illustrated as follows: 1) Comparing immigrant brides’ and native spouses’ children’s attachments and interpersonal relationships, there was no significant difference; 2) The immigrant brides’ children with two secure attachment representations showed better interpersonal relationships than children with two insecure attachment representations. Children with discordant attachment representations could compensate for friendship; 3) The degree of child-father attachment, child-mother attachment and interpersonal relationship of immigrant brides’ children showed positive correlations; 4) The study also showed that immigrant brides’ children’s overall interpersonal relationship could be predicted from child-father attachment. |
