This research aims to investigate the high-grade students of Chiao-Deo elementary school in Pingtung County, Taiwan. All students in eight classes were investigated using the well-designed questionnaires. Before the investigation of questionnaires, 256 students must accept the education of the course of wetland ecological conservation for two months. Only 244 valid samples were received after completing course training. The effective recovery of questionnaires was 95.3%. The data analysis was conducted using structural equation model(SEM) method. All testing results confirm that knowledge, attitudes and behaviors of wetland ecological conservation was satisfied normality distribution in statistical measurement. High goodness and fitness were completed for the whole structural model of wetland conservation. It also reveals that the attitudes of conservation played a mediate role between knowledge of conservation and behaviors of conservation. Concerning on the path coefficients, the total effects of knowledge of conservation to attitude of conservation was 0.83, and the values for attitude of conservation and knowledge of conservation to behavior were respectively 0.50, and 0.78. Further understanding knowledge of wetland biological and ecological, and strategies for solving environment problems could directly or indirectly affect students’ behaviors on conservation of ecological management and the varied modes of behaviors, including convincing consumer, and political and legal. |
