Friluftsliv did not play a prominent role in Arne Naess's EcosophyT. This term has a deep meaning and long tradition in its Norwegian context. I will expose the implications of friluftsliv in Naess' EcosophyT. From Naess's “Metaphysics of the Treeline” and “An Example of a Place: Tvergastein,” along with the lifestyle of deep ecology, I deduce that there are three characteristic meanings of EcosophyT.
