論「任筆的文學史地位——以任昉在文體革新方面的成就為中心

On “the prosaic writing of Ren” (Ren bi) and Ren Fang's Place in Chinese Literary History: Analysis of Innovative Writing Style of his literary works

本文以任昉在文體革新上的成就為研究重心，認為「任筆」的文學史地位可概括以下幾點：首先，任昉的應用公文體現了儒家思想和漢魏風力，能在文中表現出個人的才性及修養…「任筆」與任昉的詩一樣，內容深厚正大，風格勁健而淵雅，使其在思想內容上能在齊梁之筆中超出一格。其次，任昉敢於打破各種文體的界限，或以「彈文、「碑」為「表」、或以「書表」為「箋」、或以「傳狀」為「序」、或以「賦」為「令」、或以「表奏」為「啟」、或以史筆寫「行狀」，使各種文體互相融合交錯。最後，「任筆」在文學史上當有著繼往開來的作用，任昉懂得文體的流變，故任昉的文章不但體裁廣泛，能靈活運用各種文體；更能在承前人的基礎上針對當時流行或尚未發展的各種文體進行改造，大大地增加了各種應用文體的文學性和實用性，乃中國古代文體在實際應用與藝術的融合過程中作出了一定的貢獻。

This paper deals with different issues concerning “the prosaic writing of Ren” (Ren bi) and Ren Fang's place in Chinese literary history. The first focus is a historical survey focusing on the concept of genre during the Wei, Jin and Southern and Northern Dynasties (220-587). The next focus is a textual analysis of Ren Fang’s literary works. The final focus is an evaluation of Ren Fang’s place in the history of Chinese literature. The main criterion of this evaluation is his retro and innovative contributions to the genre of bi, prosaic writing.
