康熙朝的「臺灣文人」──以府縣學貢生為觀察對象

“Taiwanese local Literati” in KangXi Dynasty: Study in the Students of the Prefecture and County Official Schools in Taiwan

歷來談到清領初期臺灣的文人，在「宦遊文人」以外，在地的「臺灣文 人」身影似乎相對少了許多，但臺灣在康熙二十六年（1687）已經設有府縣 學，曾經在臺灣的府縣學就讀過的學生為數不少，這批由臺灣府縣學出身的學 生，實是值得我們注意的一群「臺灣文人」。 康熙朝的臺灣府縣學貢生們，若是被授以教職任用者，依例全部都在福建 境內。除了擔任教職以外，投入方志的編纂工作也是康熙朝臺灣府縣學貢生的 主要作為之一。康熙朝臺灣府縣學的貢生們在文學成就或者作品數量上，或許 無法與宦遊文人相比，然而，他們從臺灣府縣學出身，並且擔任學官教職、投 身從事編修方志等文教、著述活動，實該賦予他們「臺灣文人」的身分。

During early Ching Dynasty, it seems to be more “Official-Traveling Literati” than “Taiwanese local Literati” in Taiwan. However, there were Prefecture and County Official Schools in 1687(26th year of KangXi Emperor), many students studied in those schools, and they should be some kinds of Taiwanese Literati in KangXi Dynasty. After graduating from the Prefecture and County Official Schools in Taiwan, many graduates became teachers in Fujian. Some graduates compiled the local chronicles. Although the graduates of the Prefecture and County Official Schools in Taiwan were commonplace than “Official-Traveling Literati” in Literature, they were considered as “Taiwanese local Literati” by their teaching and writing.
