The Taiwanese attitudes toward foreign female spouses from Southeast Asian countries

The acceptance of interracial marriage is growing. According to a recently released GallupPoll, 96% of African-Americans and 84% of whites accept the idea (Alex Kellogg, 2011). Compareto year of 1970 there were only 50% and 20% of acceptance rate respectively. The growingacceptance of interracial marriage was not totally reflected in real marriage. The percentage ofinterracial marriage was less than 2% in 1970 and 7 % in 2005 in the United States (S. Chen,2010).
