宮本百合子の理想国─『道標』の世界─

宮本百合子是近代日本女流文學知名作家，她是一位多產作家，創作了八十多部小說；她又是一位關懷弱勢的人道主義者，曾發表七百多篇社會評論文章。她在處女作『貧窮的人們』一書中，曾表達對農民貧苦生活的極度關心，並透露想要填補社會上下階層貧富不均的「鴻溝」，以替人類社會建立「美麗的花園」為使命。經過婚姻的洗禮之後，她有了深刻的女性覺醒，一方面將自己的人生經驗寫成了『伸子』一書，一方面倡導女性平權、人人平等。離婚後到蘇聯遊學，目睹剛歷經社會革命十年的蘇聯社會:人民生活有保障、富人與窮人、男性與女性都不分階級不分性別大家都可以過平等地生活。驚訝之餘，激發她以當時社會主義為理想國度，寫出了『道標』一書。『道標』成書後不久，作者即不幸猝死，此書可做為她晚年思想的代表。以現實描寫手法創作的『道標』一書，表面上描述了許多蘇聯這個國家的生活、思想、文化，實際上則在探討人類的理想生活為何？日本社會極需改善的現況有那些？等相關問題。『道標』中的理想國度正是作者早期在『貧窮的人們』書中所謂的「美麗的花園」，可見宮本百合子的人道關懷，一路走來始終如一。
