餐旅系學生經新加坡實習後對語言和競爭力提升之研究－－以大仁科技大學為例

Hospitality Majored Undergraduate Students’ Promotion of Language and Competitiveness After Overseas Internship-A Case Study of TAJEN University

全球化影響下，餐旅管理產業競爭日益激烈，學校與政府無不積極提升學生的國際競爭力，海外實習便是提升學生語言、國際觀以及專業競爭力的其中一種方式，對相關科系學生來說，能到國外體驗不同的生活，也是一種自我實現跟夢想。然而海外實習並不如想像中那樣美好或容易，在陌生的環境面對強大的工作壓力挑戰，還必須獨立應付生活當中各種適應問題，究竟短短不到一年的時間對於海外實習學生能有多少的幫助，是本研究想要探討的主要問題。本研究針對大仁科技大學八名前往新加坡進行海外實習的學生進行訪談分析後，結果指出在語言學習部分，「聽」跟「說」能力會有所進步，但更重要的是激起學生學習的意願跟興趣，促使其自主持續語言方面的進修，在專業部分主要是學習廣度上以及對不同國情管理方式的適應較有成長，整體海外實習效果來看，對餐旅系學生未來職場競爭力是有所助益，但提升幅度有限，最重要的還是必須自己努力不斷充實及進步。研究者建議參與海外實習之學生出國前做好語言及心理各方面的準備，對實習單位多加瞭解，學校亦應給予良好的輔導及準備工作，海外實習才能有所成效。

Because the influence of globalization , hospitality management industry became morecompetitive, schools and governments all actively to enhance students' internationalcompetitiveness. Overseas internship is one way to enhance students' language,international outlook and professional competitive , go abroad to experience different life isa self-realization and dreams for relevant departments students. However, overseasinternships is not as good as imagined or easy , they must face strong work-pressure in anunfamiliar environment and adaptation problems independently, what are the benefits forthe students during the overseas internship less than one year is the main issues this studywant to explore .After interviewed with eight students study TAJEN University who go abroad topractice, the results indicate that 'English listening ' and ' English speaking ' capacity willbe improved, but more importantly, arouse students' learning wishes and interest , andencourage them to continue learning English. In technical expertise, breadth of learning andadaptation to different management methods are major advance. Overall, overseasinternships is certainly helpful for students’ future competitiveness, but the improvement islimited, the most important thing is that they must to continue enrich and improvethemselves. This study suggests the students participate in overseas internships should beready in language and psychological , and understand their internships before going abroad,schools also need to do a good job in counseling and preparation works , the effectivenessof overseas internship will be better .
