國立科學工藝博物館「科工半日遊－－科學探索隊」觀眾意見調查研究

A Viewer Opinion Survey of ''A Half Day of Discovery' Offered by the National Science and Technology Museum (Synopsis)

博物館藉展示品與觀眾溝通，但卻常有觀眾不了解展示品涵義的情形發生， 因此國立科學工藝博物館規劃特定主題，結合「展示廳主題導覽」、「科學演示」、「用電知識介紹」及「影帶播放」等子活動，推出兩隊科學探索隊，主動協助觀眾獲得有系統科學知識。為了解初次辦理的科學探索隊實施成效，以作為未來規劃活動的參考，乃進行本研究。研究方法係設計問卷，以普查方式對每一位參加活動觀眾發放問卷進行調查，問卷內容包括人口統計資料、觀眾活動經驗、活動喜好度等，並嘗試進行子活動科學演示之教育成效評鑑。再依據調查結果進行次數分析與卡方獨立性檢定。本研究主要發現如下：1. 科學探索隊觀眾參加目的是多元的，以「假日休閒」、「子女教育」、「更有效率參觀科工館」以及「藉活動機會參觀科工館」為多。2. 科學探索隊各子活動觀眾喜好度皆在77%以上，其中最受歡迎之子活動為科學演示（ 87.7%） 。整體而言觀眾喜歡的理由主要是可以「增加知識」、「有趣」、「解說員講得好」及「實用」。且成年觀眾喜好度較高。3. 觀眾再度參加類似活動的意願，兩隊分別為67.9%及80.2%。但此類觀眾以成年人及抱持「子女教育」為目的者比率較高；年齡較輕的學生比率則較低。4. 由科學探索隊觀眾的喜好度以及願意再度參加類似活動意願來看，科學探索隊應已獲得初步的成功，本研究建議科學探索隊應持續辦理，作為博物館與觀眾溝通的橋樑。

Museums bring the visitor face to face with information and displays, but sometimes the visitor may not completely understand what the display is trying to convey. This happens in science and technology museums just like in any other kind of museum. When this happens the visitor will grumble about not comprehending the content of the display or may complain that the display is too simplistic in its depiction of a scientific concept. If the National Science and Technology Museum could plan and develop several educational activities on its own that will give visitors something to work with other than the information in the main displays, such as guided explanations, demonstrations of scientific principles in action or hands-on activities related to these principles, it might be very helpful in getting visitors to understand more fully what is being presented in displays.
