本研究將介紹中國的翻譯家楊絳（1911- ）及其最具代表的譯：El Ingenioso Hidalgo Don Quijote de la Mancha。這是第一部直接從西班牙文直譯的唐吉訶德完整版。首先將介紹楊絳的生平, 翻譯經驗， 及對於翻譯技巧的看法。接著將介紹楊絳所翻譯的唐吉訶德的風格及翻譯策略， 這能反映出他對翻譯的概念及對於中國語言和文化的立場。我們也將介紹楊絳的俚語翻譯所引起的筆戰， 其目的為說明中國對於批評的接受度日益增高。

The study aims to introduce Yang Jiang (1911-), one of the notable Chinese translators, and her most representative translation work, el Ingenioso Hidalgo Don Quijote de la Mancha. It is the first complete Chinese version of Don Quixote translated from the Spanish original. The article begins with an overview of Yang Jiang’s life, her translation experiences, and her views on translation techniques. Followed is a discussion on the styles and translation strategies in her Chinese version of Don Quixote. The styles and adopted strategies illustrate her concepts regarding translation and Chinese language and culture. At the end of the article, the controversy and dispute over Yang Jiang’s slang-style translations are introduced to demonstrate Chinese people were gradually becoming more open to criticisms during the time.
