The use of information technology services has become increasingly popular withcommercial applications over the past few years. Enterprises need to involve e-businessactivities in their business plans to enhance their competitiveness and realize the benefitsin the increasingly competitive global economy. E-business not only has revolutionizedthe way companies conduct business, but also raises the relationship between buyers, supplier and their banks in the conduct of business processes. Small and medium-sizedenterprises (SMEs) generally play a vital role of economic development, stability andprosperity in many countries. However, due to small size of firm and lack of marketcredibility for the SMEs as suppliers, it is a significant obstacle to obtain access to loansand financing from banks. For the sake of settling the matter, supply chain finance (SCF)yields a set of solutions that optimizes cash flow by allowing buyers to lengthen paymentterms, while also providing bank finances to suppliers to get paid early throughout thesupply chain. Moreover, in order to ensure the security of electronic services, an onlinecollaborative platform in SCF has to provide a highly secure environment for transactionprocessing and information sharing between multiple parties. This paper presents analternative scheme which uses elliptic curve cryptography (ECC) features to yield highersecurity and better performance for receivables finance in a SCF communication platform.Considering cybersecurity risks, we analyze the security scenarios and implement propercountermeasures against growing cyberthreats. Furthermore, our estimation results indicatethat the proposed scheme can achieve excellent performance at significantly smallerparameters. With such an appropriate design, the scheme will certainly lead to moreeffective and efficient safeguards for SCF programmes. |
