Teenagers’ attitudes and behavioral intentions toward balanced breakfast ought to be regarded by parents and the education authority. This study aimed to investigate the balanced breakfast intentions of the junior high school students in Kaohsiung city. It was conducted on the basis of the theory of planned behavior via questionnarie survey method. The researcher samples 1200 participants from the junior high school students in Kaohsiung city, and 1137 valid copies were collected. Statistical analysis methods including descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's product-moment correlation and multiple regression analysis were used to analyse the quantitative data. Based on the research findings, attitudes, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control and behavioral intentions varied with the disparities in demographic variables. The junior high school students’ attitudes, subjective norms and perceived behavioral control toward balanced breakfast. Above all, it had a significant impact on attitudes and perceived behavioral control. These research results enable parents to understand the cognitive situation of a balanced breakfast of junior high school students. It can also provide the education authority to promote the nutritionally balanced courses. |
