The hit rate and production cycle time are primary performance measures in the LED chip foundry. This research studies different dispatching rules for the manufacturing process of LED chip foundry. Simulation models are conducted to evaluate the performances of four different dispatching rules, First In First out (FIFO), earliest due date (EDD), shortest processing time (SPT) and critical ratio (CR). Simulation results show that EDD rule has the best performance of hit rate, and SPT rule has the best performance of production cycle time. |
