The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship among teachers’ sense of life meaning, work values, and teacher efficacy of junior high school teachers. In this study, the teachers of junior high schools in Taoyuan City were selected as the study subjects to conduct questionnaire survey research, adopting stratified proportional sampling. A total of 491 questionnaires were distributed and 455 were valid with 92.7% availability rate. After the questionnaires were collected, statistical software package SPSS was used to conduct the data analysis, such as descriptive statistics, t-test, one way ANOVA analysis, statistical analysis, Pearson correlation, and simple linear regression, and the major results were summarized as follows: 1. Teachers’ sense of life meaning, work values, and teacher efficacy of junior high school teachers are higher than middle level. 2. Significant differences are found on the part of teachers’ sense of life meaning in consideration of teachers’ diploma degree and with/without children. 3. Significant differences are found on the part of teachers’ work values in consideration of teachers’ job position and with/without children. 4. Significant differences are found on the part of teacher efficacy in consideration of teachers’ gender, marital status, religion, teaching experience and job position. 5. Positive relationships exist between teachers’ sense of life meaning and work values. 6. Positive relationships exist between teachers’ sense of life meaning and teacher efficacy. 7. Positive relationships exist between teachers’ work values and teacher efficacy. |
