A 93-year-old male patient presented to the emergency department with complaints of dyspnea and fever. Chest radiograph revealed left lower lobe pneumonia and a detachment of the pleura on the right side, suggesting a pneumothorax. On the next day, another supine chest radiograph was obtained, but no evidence of the pneumothorax was observed. Herein, we report a case of pseudopneumothorax secondary to skin fold to remind clinicians to remain alert to the this possibility and help them distinguish between pseudopneumothorax and pneumothorax. |
