This dissertation tries to interpret the ”Sun Ke” in ”Chuan Qi” by the viewpoint of mythology and psychology, etc; it regards Yuan shi's life as an enlightenment journey about mind-nature, and then unearths her mental course about recompensing secularity and then returning to innocence. First what analyzes is the meaning that Yuan shi turned into a beauty and married to Sun Ke, it's because Yuan shi wanted to compensate the shadow which is attributed to her past experience of being fed in human society, and satisfied her desire and curiosity for humanity's love. During this marital period, she recognized and alchemized the impurity in her heart unceasingly, which to search her true self and then wake up the anxiety and determination of returning to forest. Next what analyzes is the process which Yuan shi separated from secularity and then returning to innocence. In Xiashan temple which is a transition place, Yuan shi's all actions include, giving the jasper ring back, missing hometown after meeting wild apes, tearing clothes to transform into a ape, leaping tree and then entering the forest, import the symbolic meaning about breaking the human constraint away, and returning to pristine condition. Finally, we can conclude the purports of Yuan shi's enlightenment journey: returning to the beings-in-themselves, and the cultivation about returning to innocence and free. |
