As the classic poems of Tang Dynasty, Wang Wei's poem named ”A farewell poem to Yuan Er”, was reproduce into songs as well as in paintings such as ”Painting of Yang Guan”, a painting of describe the poem. In the successive of Sung Dynasty, there were a total of six paintings of <Yang Guan> which carried out the poetry of Wang Wei’s poem. Among them, Li Gong Lin, a famous painter of Northern Sung Dynasty, has the greatest influence. His paintings influenced others to follow and continue for painting the poem, and inspired more than twenty poets such as Su Shi, Su Zhe, Huang Tingjian and others with their passion and talents to write more than thirty poems entitled ”Painting of Yang Guan” as well. The transitions from Wang Wei's ”A Farewell Poem to Yuan Er” to paintings named ”Painting of Yang Guan” and then back to poems called ”Painting of Yang Guan” represent circular process, which works in this way-”creative writings, spread and communication, acceptance and creative writings.” |
