With the anticipated growth the need for qualified employees is critical. Researchers have assessed the popularity and importance of certificate programs over the past decade. Little empirical research has been done on the value of how gaming management certificate programs (GMCPs) benefit the individual practitioner from both academic and industry aspects. The purpose of this study is to identify the value of certificate programs in general and to examine three respondent groups of academic administrators, certified employees, and casino managers on the perceived benefits of GMCPs. Furthermore, three respondent group perceptions were compared to understand the expectations and actual perceived benefits of GMCPs. |
