The purpose of this study was to realize the learning satisfaction towards physical education course of elementary school children in Taiwan and to contrast the children with different background. The researcher refered the learning satisfaction scale by Liu(2004) ,Lai(2004),and Hsieh(2006) and developed the learning satisfaction scale of upper-grade elementary school children. The data applicated for analyzing the reliability and validity of the scale by item-analysis, factor analysis. The results reveald that Cronbach's α of factors was between .53 and .89. The total Cronbach's αwas .90.The result of analyzed date reveled: 1. The total mean of learning satisfaction towards physical education course of elementary school children was 3.39±0.67, between normal and satisfaction. Among the four aspects in PE, the elementary school students in Nantou county were most satisfied with learning effect,which were followed in the order by facility, class arranged, teaching administration and teacher's instruction. 2. With regard to gender difference, male students were more satisfied with learning effect than female students. 3. With regard to grade difference, fifth grade students were more satisfied than sixth grade students. 4. With regard to school size difference, there were difference in two factors, including teaching administration and teacher's instruction.The result reveled the students in small schools(under 12 classes)was more satisfied than the medium schools(13-60 classes). |
