中華民國與沙烏地阿拉伯王國建交歷程

曾經在戰後被譽為「中華民國三大邦交國」之一的沙烏地阿拉伯王國，在國際的政治外交上，其與中華民國的邦交一直延續到 1990 年為止；經濟貿易上， 更是中華民國重要的貿易對象。尤其在國際石油危機期間，沙國將中華民國列為友好國家之一，持續供應石油。財政上，歷次的借貸關係，高達美金兩億六千三百萬元。直到 2010 年為止，沙國仍居中華民國對外貿易總額的第 9 名，從上可 知，沙國與中華民國的不管在政治、經濟、貿易上，都佔據相當重要的地位，但卻鮮少人熟知，中沙兩國建立邦交的過程。因此，本文將探討中沙兩國建交是在什麼樣的機緣之下展開？建交的過程又遭遇什麼樣的困難？雙方互派大使的情形又是如何？這些都是本文要探討的重點。
