Deliberations on Yang Shuda's Philological Interpretations

近人楊樹達以其深厚之文字、訓詁學養與經史文獻融會貫通，考釋文字時有創見。然因時代侷限與千慮之失，楊氏考釋文字仍有若干可商之處。今以《積微居小學金石論叢》、《積微居小學述林》考字訓解為範圍，擇取釋字可商者十一字為例，提出商榷意見。

Yang Shuda (1885–1956), a philologist versed in classical documents, has been well known for his exegetic originality. However, due to the scholarly limitations of his era, some of his philological interpretations call for reconsiderations. In this paper I provide alternative interpretations of 11 characters which Yang discusses in his books: Jiweiju xiaoxue jinshi luncong (A Survey of Ancient Chinese Inscriptions) and Jiweiju xiaoxue shulin (A Survey of Chinese Philology).
