比較在職護理人員與非護理人員面對孩子住院時之需求差異

Comparison between Nurse and Non-Nurse Mothers' Perceived Needs When Their Children Are Hospitalized

兒童是一個非完全行為能力的個體需仰賴母親協助其健康維護，因此護理人員除了照顧病童健康問題外亦需要關注母親的需求。本研究旨在比較在職護理人員與非護理人員面對孩子住院時需求項目與排序差異。採問卷調查法，以某區域教學醫院兒科病中，住院兩次(含此次入院)；且此次住院三天以上，身獵主要照顧者與母親等雙重角色者為研究對象，於2001.02.01~04.30期間以立意取樣收集30位護理人員與30位非護理人員之問卷。以人次、百分數、平均數、標準差與排序呈現描述性資類，再以Mann-Whitney Test進行檢從。結果發現：(1)兩者的首位需求皆是「當我在家時，如果孩子的病情突然變化能有人打電話通知我」；(2)兩者在面對孩子住院時的前十項需釣，有六項相同，項目一致或60%；(3)兩者在32項母親需求中，有八項達顯著差異，差異項目與病童的病情進展、母親的情緒表達、獲得支持與安慰、何時轉出病房、能為孩子做些什麼、病情解釋與侯療以服務有關。這個研究發現能提價護理人員一個方向，在服務同為護理人員的病童母親時調整護理內容，事半功倍地滿足此群體之需求。

The purpose of the study was to compare the perceived needs of nurse and non-nurse mothers when their children are hospitalized. Sixty mothers were interviewed using a structured questionnaire in a survey study. Percentage, mean, standard deviation, rank and Mann-Whitney Test were used to analyze the data. The results showed that: (1) “To be called at home about a change in the condition of the child ” was the first of the leading ten perceived needs ranked by nurse and non-nurse mothers; (2) Six of the ranked perceived needs were the same between nurse and non-nurse mothers. The consistency was 60%; (3) Eight needs were significantly different between the two groups. The findings of the study provide useful information for nursing personnel to evaluate their own nursing behaviors and enhance their insights to provide services that are closer to the expectations of nurse mothers when their children are hospitalized.
