AIDS care is a hot issue in the world. It is a developing professional concern. In this paper, current conditions of AIDS care are first introduced, followed by common problems of HIV/AIDS patients, the roles and functions of mental health nurses, and future directions of AIDS care. Through reading this paper, readers will have a better understanding of AIDS care, the functions of mental health nurses and the developing roles of these nurses in the care of patients with AIDS.
