Various dangers and accidents are hiding in campus. To establish a safe campus, teachers and staffs should deliver necessary knowledge to students so that students can avoid been harmed or threatened in campus. This knowledge delivery process is not easy for students in special education schools due to students' physical or mental limitations. This study establishes a campus safety management system for three special education schools in northern Taiwan by using the RFID technology and the UML method. The system is aiming at improving the campus safety mechanism so that students can play and learn in a safe campus. Comprehensive system requirements analyses were taken and the useful functions were proposed consequently. The corresponding functions include: student in-campus management, emergency notification, (temporary) dangerous area management, abnormal body temperature management, abnormal behavior management, finding lost students management and off-campus activities management. The system was then planed, designed and implemented according to the requirements. On-site examinations were taken to evaluate the performance of the system after the system is constructed. The issue about privacy protection of this system was discussed in this research as well. |
