溫中補陽治癒四年不孕症病例報告

The Therapeutic Experience of Primary Infertility with Chinese Medicine: A Case Report

在現今工業化資訊化的工商社會中，不孕症的比例愈來愈高，對許多不孕症夫妻而言，會帶來許多問題，例如面對長輩們關懷的壓力、沮喪、自尊受損、產生自責感等等。許多夫妻為了提高受孕的成功率，而求助於傳統醫學，希望能藉由中醫的治療方式而能夠順利懷孕生子。本篇病例報告一位患有卵巢囊腫、長年痛經，4 年餘不孕的婦女，雖經多年診治未果，因而求助於中醫藥療法，患者經診斷為中焦虛寒之體質，由於正值由陰轉陽的排卵期，故以助陽補火、溫中祛寒為治療策略，以理中湯加味的處方，患者在服藥三週後順利懷孕，因此詳述個案體質及實際溫中臨床處方之用藥思路，以提供中醫界參考。

Infertility affects approximately a tenth of couples worldwide and can be a stressful experience that affects several aspects of a woman's life; her religious faith, self-esteem, relationship with her partner, family and friends being notable examples. Infertility women seek traditional medicine advice because the Western medicine for infertility is not only expensive but could also causes a number of side effects. Herein we report a 31 year old woman, trying to conceive four years, with ovarian cyst and painful periods got pregnant after taking three-week modified 'Li Zhong Tang'. Evidence for the effectiveness of 'Li Zhong Tang' for infertility is almost entirely anecdotal and has not been documented in ancient books. Given the mechanism of action of modified 'Li Zhong Tang', it seems that from this case accurate symptom differentiation resulted in such a large improvement in both symptom relief and fertility. Additional studies of the effects of modified 'Li Zhong Tang' on female fertility could yield information of the medication's effect on women with deficiency cold in the middle energizer.
