The purpose of this study is to investigate the influential factors on behavioral intention of energy saving and carbon reduction by conducting a survey in two junior high schools in Taipei metropolitan area. From a total of 525 questionnaires given out, 97.14% or 510 effective samples were collected. The results of this study are list as follows: 1. The subjects showed significantly differences in knowledge of energy saving and carbon reduction on socio-economic, and urban-rural areas. The subjects’ attitude of energy saving and carbon reduction showed significantly differences on genders, and urban-rural areas. The subjects’ self-efficacy of energy saving and carbon reduction showed significantly differences on urban-rural areas. And there are significantly differences in behavioral intension of energy saving and carbon reduction on genders. 2. The results show knowledge, attitude, self-efficacy, behavioral intension of energy saving and carbon reduction are significantly correlated with environment sensitivity. 3. The subjects’ attitude and self-efficacy of energy saving and carbon reduction, and environment sensitivity can significantly predict their behavioral intension of energy saving and carbon reduction. The explanatory power is 55.2%. Based on the above results, discussions and suggestions are provided for further studies on fields of sustainable education and energy education. |
