The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships between sports safety cognition, attitude, and behavior. A structured questionnaire was developed and used in this case study. The purpose sampling design was adopted to collect a total 278 effective questionnaires from senior grade students of an elementary school in Taichung city. The major findings are as follows: 1. Research objects are good in sports safety cognition, but lack of cognition in sport injury treatments. Research objects are positive in sports safety attitude and acted above average in sports safety behavior. 2. Sports safety cognition, sports safety attitude, and sports safety behavior are positive correlated in this study. 3. Variables including gender, family socioeconomic status, sports safety cognition and sports safety attitude can explain 24.8% variance of sports safety behavior. Among all the variables, sports safety attitude is the best predictor for sports safety behavior. According to the findings of this study, several recommendations are submitted to enhance sports safety behavior in elementary school. |
