毛囊癌──病例報告

Trichilemmal carcinoma--a case report

一位55歲男性，二年來在其左眼外眥上方有一紅色含潰瘍的結節。其組織學撿查，顯示典型毛囊癌之表現。毛囊癌是一種罕見皮膚附屬器官腫瘤，與毛髮外鞘相關而不同於增殖性毛囊瘤。雖然病理下有惡性腫瘤之特色，臨床上其屬性為良性。就我們所知，英文文獻中自1972年 至2005年不過近百例。本文討論TLC之臨床病理特色並回顧有關文獻。

A 55-year-old male patient presented with a solitary, erythematous nodule with ulceration over the outer canthus of left eye for about 2 years. Histological examination of the nodule revealed typical features of trichilemmal carcinoma (TLC). TLC is a rare adnexal tumor related to the external hair sheath and distinct from proliferative trichilemmal tumor. Despite the presence of histologically malignant features, it has a relatively benign clinical behavior. So far as we known, less than 100 cases have been reported from 1972 to 2005 in English literature[1-19]. We discuss the clinical and histologic features and review the literatures of TLC.
