Teacher quality is an essential point to educational reform, and the system of teacher evaluation is an important method of promoting teacher professional development and ensuring educational quality. This paper tries to take the situation of Hsinchu County for an example, evaluates the effectiveness and difficulty of teacher profession developmental evaluation.
In this current plan of teacher profession developmental evaluation, there are six problems can be discussed. (1) The position of development evaluation. (2) The limit of school affair conference. (3) There were more difficulties in junior high school. (4) In elementary school, the large scale ones also hard to carry out. (5) The support of school headmaster. (6) The increase of workload.
Furthermore, this paper advances five suggestions. (1) Defining the position of development evaluation. (2) To cancel the limit of school affair conference. (3) To cultivate professional and appropriate personnel for the evaluation. (4) Constructing a trust atmosphere and strengthening the strategy of promotion. (5) To construct and guidance a system of support in order to draw up a concreted direction and strategy in the county city level of the teacher evaluation for professional development program in the future. |
