Gifted students possess cognitive, linguistic and emotion expressing abilities that endows them with the potential to become greater writers. With these characteristics in mind, educators find that gifted students need exposure to a broad range of contexts, novel products, and in-depth cultural material. The vast realm of important literature can inspire gifted students to find their own voices, and attain personal growth. Besides they can make contribution to their culture. Teachers can combine reading and writing to promote students' writing skills. From using independent exploration or cooperative learning activities can also build their own originality in writing and communication skills. This article suggested that writing activities can be embedded in the study of literature. |
