This paper discusses the characteristics of Deleuze's historic vision on the diagram. The first part presents the objectives of this study. The second part criticizes the logic of problematic in the diagram and analyzes the diagram itself, and then analyzes the horizontal and vertical structure of teleology that reflects the historic vision of the diagram. The third part discusses the differences among Deleuze's historic vision on the diagram, Hegel's artistic historicism, and Adorno's historicism of artistic criticism. This paper draws the conclusion that Deleuze developed his historic vision on the diagram in light of the intercourse between genealogical function of anti-representation and problematic teleological function; however, in formulating a philosophy of art linked to the diagram, he elaborated on ideology of anti-representation and anti-identity. |
