The Improvement of Medical Material Management in the Neurosurgical Wards

本專案皆在改善神經外科病房『醫材管理dI '以提供同仁及病患一個適 量、高品質及高效率的醫療環境。 根據90.0 1.08~90.0 1.14 針對神經外科病房醫材使用情形的調查發現，醫 材基本量的設置比實際需求高且醫材擺放位置分散至庫房、護理站及治療 室，取用不便且不易確實盤點。本專案重新依使用量估算基本量，並將醫材 存放位置標準化，結果顯示基本量成本由58987.29 元降至51409.74 元。醫材存 放位置採一項醫材只擺放一個位置之原則，除了使行政人員盤點能更確實及 方便外，護理同仁覺得取用較原來方便者佔71% '認為醫材標示較原來更清 楚者佔96% '有節省醫材取用時間者佔84% 。 本專案的推行確實可使單位的資材成本降低同時也使行政人員及護理同 仁工作取用醫材時更具效率及便利性。

The purpose of this project was to improve the medical material management in neurosurgical wards to provide the ward staffs and patients reasonable and available medical materials in high efficiency. Our investigation into the storage of medical materials in neurosurgical wards from Jan.8th to Jan.14th , 2001 showed that the medical materials were stored in higher quantities than those exactly required and were widely dispersed in the storerooms, nurse stations and treatment rooms. It was not convenient and easy for inventory. In this project, we re-estimated the basic quantities and re-standardized the locations of all items of medical materials. The results revealed reduction of their basic quantities stored, thus leading to reduction of their cost by 13%. The standardized locations enabled the ward administrators to accomplish inventory more accurately and more conveniently. 71% of staff-nurses commented this new project leding to better convenience, 96% appreciated more clear lables and 84% thought time-saving on the management of medical materials. This project was verififed to reduce the cost and enhance the efficiency and convenience of handling medical materials in the neurosurgical wards.
