Seventh Framework Programme of the European Community for Research, Technological Development and Demonstration Activities(2007 to 2013)

2006年12月18日歐洲議會及理事會1982/2006/EC號決議正式批准了《歐盟研究、技術開發及示範活動第七框架計劃》（簡稱FP7）。FP7的首要目標是促成歐盟成為世界領先的研究中心，使得科研、技術革新和知識積累在經濟增長、社會進步和環境保護方面發揮著更加重要的作用。為此FP7按照科研務求卓越的主要原則，強力促進在世界級的最尖端領域的研究工作並加大投資，而且其計劃周期比FP6延長了兩年。除了在自然科學技術領域外，歐盟在FP7中還增加了社會經濟科學和人文科學項目，著力促進人文社會學科與自然科學之間的對話，通過鼓勵批判性反思，使科技研究計劃盡量滿足普通公民的需求，增強民眾對科技的信心。FP7計劃要實現的歐盟戰略目標就是：實現向知識型社會的轉型，提升歐洲研究潛力和附加值

In December 18 of 2006, the European Parliament and of the Council approved the seventh framework programme of the European Community for research, technological development and demonstration activities(2007 to 2013). These objectives should build upon the achievements of the sixth Framework Programme towards the creation of the European research area and carry them further towards the development of a knowledge-based economy and society in Europe. FP7 also include socio-economic sciences and humanities objects, in order to promote dialogue humanities and social sciences and natural sciences, and by encouraging critical reflection, so that science and technology research programs try to meet the needs of ordinary citizens, and enhance public confidence in the technology. The strategic goal of FP7 is to achieve the transition to a knowledge-based society, to enhance European research potential and added value.
