This article reports the process of building an attached relationship between the primipara and premature infant. The case unexpectedly and naturally labored after 33 weeks and three days of pregnancy and failure to stabilize the fetus. The author assessed the case based on the Roy Adaptation Model. Data were collected and analyzed. The identified health problems were role tension as a new caregiver and potential risk because of the change in the attached relationship between primipara and premature infant. Based on individual needs, customized nursing interventions included actively providing information, arranging flexible visiting hours, guiding care-relevant knowledge and skills gradually, demonstrating the case to touch the infant with message skills, and encouragement the case breast-feeding. Finally, the primipara could lower her tension and bravely touch and breastfeed her baby. |
