This research exampled yoga curriculum in sports clubs to assess what affects of exercise give the values and social position to the public of today's yoga. What kind of impacts? How much would it change? What level does it shake? When one jump off the pursuit of speed and strength after a curse to show fitness, is yoga a movement to redefine the value and status in society? Through the analysis of some relevant literature, this research firstly understands that busy modern people's desire for pursuing a higher level of demand in spirituality is a kind of instinct. Yoga is originally an ancient Indian spiritual practice of physical and spread through the world. Moreover, it becomes a health and fitness movement and opens the unity of body and soul. Furthermore, when combined yoga and exercise, people with healthy self-image requirements no longer limited to full speed and strength fitness, but another kind of transcendence from the inside out. Thus, because yoga is integrated into Eastern and Western forms of physical training and is packaged with the concept of marketing, yoga has become one of the hot sports. Exercise itself is a very social product. People’s standards for identity and self-redefined often affect the choice of forms of sports. Yoga, the pursuit of physical fitness and body sculpting, provides the image of self-assurance and assertion, which is very popular. However, there are more women practicing yoga than men in the yoga room because men pursuit different image than women. In summary, self-affirmation and recognition, moreover, the recognition of different cultural backgrounds would affect people’s choice of sports and their acceptable level of sports. |
