台灣商管學院在國際頂尖期刊發表狀況之研究

A Study of Academic Performance of Business School in Taiwan by Top Journals

本研究統計與分析國內商管學院所有系所於2002-2012 年間在UT Dallas與Financial Times 重覆列示之 22 個國際頂尖期刊之發表狀況。由於每篇文章的作者人數大多為2 人以上，故評估其表現除了依據論文發表篇數外，亦以作者人數加權計算其分數。國內整體表現來看，每年的發表數量大致呈現稍微上升的趨勢，但並沒有大幅度之成長，且均集中在前五名的學校。此外，我們也針對台灣、大陸、香港、新加坡等地區進行比較，看其發表有無差異。結果發現香港與新加坡囊括了前五名且發表數量遠高於其他地區，而大陸的商管學院近幾年的表現也有大幅度之進展，相較之下，台灣的商管學院在頂尖期刊平均每年發表的總數量僅5.27 篇。希望藉由此研究數據激發國內商管學者之研究潛能，進而使研究品質再提升。

This study surveys and analyzes the academic performance of business schools in Taiwan during 2002-2012 by overlapping UT Dallas and Financial Times 22 top journals. Most of articles have two or more authors, so the performance measurement is based on the number of papers and the weight scores. The overall performance of business schools in Taiwan shows that a slightly upward trend, but did not have a significant growth. We also find that all articles published in top journals mainly from top five business schools in Taiwan. In addition, we compared Taiwan, China, Hong Kong and Singapore to know that what differences between them in the academic performance. The result shows that Hong Kong and Singapore includes the top five business school in these areas and their publication performance is higher than other schools significantly. The performance of business schools in China has been improved substantially in recent years. In contrast, the performance of business schools in Taiwan should be strengthened due to the average number of published papers is only 5.27 in top journals per year. Furthermore, we hope to encourage the potential of domestic scholars in business schools, thereby enabling further enhances the quality of research.
