This research aims at the Chinese students who are learning Japanese, to learn the problems they may have when they learn to write Japanese articles, especially Chinese characters are frequently utilized in Japan but some appear to have different meanings, and also there are the unique pronunciations that only exist in Japanese. This research will focus on studying those effects on the students’ recognitions and the meaning explanations of those particular Chinese characters and unique Japanese pronunciations. Thirty students will conduct the surveys of questionnaires with Japanese writing. The data will be analyzed to understand those effects. According to the literature review, the Chinese characters that used in both countries are easily confused with their meaning, for instance “subject” and “major study” or “time” and “period”…etc. Even more the early Japanese learners often neglect the pronunciations of similar vocabulary. That negligence of pronunciations results in mistakes on writing Japanese articles. This research aims to categorize those that the same words with different meaning in two different countries and the negligence of pronunciations resulting in wrong Japanese writing. In the future, we are hoping to improve the teaching with the research results. |
