This paper report of discussion puts service learning into practical teaching in life education. The service learning is part of the curriculum. This paper’s contents include the overview of group reports and individuals’ reports about what they have learned from the services. By qualitative researching analysis and integrate service learning approaches to general education active capabilities and teaching goals. The service learning indeed can improve students’ learning capabilities and creativities. The students can learn a lot of different experience in alternative learning ways. They can look at the question of how people learn, resulting in a productive view of the learning process among students. The students can acquire tacit knowledge from service learning, and the tacit knowledge interacts with explicit knowledge. I hope more service learning can be included into the general education. Let students be concerned about communities and the knowledge form roots in the general education, and let students enjoy learning, and then encouraging teaching quality of general education. |
