英文摘要 |
Since English as a language of international ommunication, English language teaching is socially situated in the multicultural circumstances, which include the specific individuals each with their different histories and background. That means English pedagogical practice is no longer considered as an exclusive practice of Anglocentric view of communication. English instructions unfold in different ways under different contexts and should deal with the interrelatedness of history, culture and ideology among students. Therefore, this study is intended to interpret various concepts, such as “world English”, postcolonial perspective and global perspective to analyze sociocultural perspective of English language instruction and learning. Nevertheless, the authors suggest it is necessary to construct the specific English pedagogical text and curricula adapted to social context. |
