Citizens’Supplementary education is the most important part of adult education development. Basically, there are many problems existed in citizens’supplementary school such as the system, curriculum, dropping rate etc. have been critized tremendously, but there is not particular study to articulate those problems expeciaily in the curriculum implementation. Therefore, the purposes of this study are to explore the curriculum problems of citizens’supplementary school education so as to provide some improved approaches in the future operation. The methods adopted in this study are literature review and theoretical analysis, in addition to interview method, to conduct the findings. Eventually, this study is roughly divided into five parts. 1. The historical development of citizens’supplementary education. 2. Curriculum operation foundation of adult education. 3. Curriculum design of adult education. 4. Implement curriculum problems of supplementary education. 5. Feasible approaches to improve the curriculum. According to the objectives and the future trends of the citizens’supplementary education, this study suggests: 1. Using Delphi model to establish curriculum program. 2. Emphasizing the life education to enrich the knowledge actively. 3. Trying to apply broad-fields curriculum design to citizens’supplementary education. 4. Providing the guidance service to assist students with carreer problems. 5. Promoting the extra-curriculum activities to direct those students to spend their leisure time in proper ways. 6. Offering the vocational courses and cooperative programs to meet their studying interest and needs practically. 7. Improving the evaluation strategies and promoting channels for their advanced study. |
