New Development of the LMAA Arbitration Rules: Promoting the Goal of Fast and Low Cost Arbitration

倫敦海事仲裁員協會新修訂的各項仲裁規則已于2012年1月1日起生效實施。英國1996年「仲裁法」早已設定快速低費仲裁的目標。倫敦海事仲裁員協會不斷推出並完善更加靈活多元的仲裁規則，並在各項仲裁規則中深入貫徹快速低費仲裁目標，不僅體現了海事仲裁的專業特色，更滿足了海事爭議當事人的實踐需要。The LMAA arbitration rules have been revised and come into force since January 1, 2012. In UK, the goal of fast and low cost arbitration has been set by the Arbitration Act 1996. The LMAA has developed flexible and variable arbitration rules in response to the above goal, which not only embody the professional characteristics of maritime arbitration, but also meet the needs of the parties in the practice of dispute resolution.
