乳藤（Ecdysanthera utilis Hayata ）為夾竹桃科（Apocynaceae ）植物，台灣民間用於補腎、壯腰膝及消炎方面。實驗結果顯示其莖及莖皮之甲醇粗抽物對KB-16 、P-388 、A-549 及HT-29 等四種癌細胞均無抑制作用。而對抗發炎作用，莖及莖皮之甲醇粗抽物及莖之各種有機溶媒萃取層中，在中性白血球去顆粒作用中對於由FMLP 所引發之β -glucuronidase 及lysozyme 的釋放有明顯抑制作用，莖甲醇粗抽物的IC50 分別為11.7 μg/ml 及9.4 μg/ml ；莖皮甲醇粗抽物的IC50 分別為13.1 μg/ml 及9.2 μg/ml 。在抗過敏作用，在肥大細胞 （mast cell） 去顆粒作用試驗中，對於由Compound 48/80 所引發之β -glucuronidase 及histamine 的釋放有明顯之抑制作用。莖甲醇粗抽物的IC50 分別為42.0 μg/ml 及39.9 μg/ml ；莖皮甲醇粗抽物的IC50 分別為34.3 μg/ml 及36.6μg/ml 。Ecdysanthera utilis Hayata (Eu) of Apocynaceae family, is a folk medicine in Taiwan. It is used to supplement the kidney, strengthen the knee, and relieve inflammation.The present study showed that the crude methanol extract of the stem and stem cortex (Eu-M, EuC-M, respectively) did not exhibit cytotoxic effects against KB-16, P-388, A-549, and HT-29 cell lines. Eu-M, EuC-M and fractions of Eu-M showed significant inhibitory effects against β- glucuronidase and lysozyme release on neutrophil degranulation induced by FMLP. IC50 of Eu-M were 11.7μg/ml and 9.4μg/ml, respectively. IC50 of EuC-M were 13.1μg/ml and 9.2μg/ml, respectively. In the mast cell degranulation induced by Compound 48/80 experiments, they also showed significant inhibitory effects against β-glucuronidase and histamine release. IC50 of Eu- M were 42.0μg/ml and 39.9μg/ml, respectively. IC50 of EuC-M were 34.3μg/ml and 36.6μ g/ml, respectively.
