This article was to discuss the nursing experience during 31st October, 2006 to 24th November, 2006 of caring a patient with recurrent colon-rectum cancer. The authors assessed nursing problems using the Roy's adaptation theory measure after detailed observation, consultation and physical examination. The main nursing problems included sleep pattern disturbance, sexual dysfuntion and urinay retention. During the process of nursing care, the authors first reviewed relevant literatures and academic information about total mesorecal excision, then applied those useful nursing practices on patients. Furthermore, it is important to have good interventions with the patients family that was benefit to nursing process, increasing selfcare and adapted ability. |
