Skills used included evaluation, conversation, observation, and Roy's adaptation model. The patient's health problems included: existing damage, high risk of infection, and grief. During the nursing process, the nurse built a relationship with the patient and his family and helped them to process their grief over the child's death, adapt to the changes of son's death, recover physical health and restore the patient's will to live.
