In phase two, a case study was conducted in a medical center located in southern Taiwan. Subjects were composed of the staff and directors of nursing and information management departments. A total of 56 copies of questionnaire were sent out with 50 returned. The response rate was 89.2%. The Principal Component technique was used to validate the instrument. Then, the validated instrument was used as a basis for the interviewing whose results revealed the difficulty orders in developing NCPS, as database build-up, integrating knowledge from different resources, sustaining the satisfaction of different users for different information requests, and evaluating the related costs for the implementation of the system. |
