The purpose of this research was aiming to understand the Vietnamese female spouse original culture and the childbirth experience in Taiwan. Deep interview Qualitative Research method was taken in order to collect the data. A total of nine Vietnamese spouses after childbirth participated in this study. The results induced the growth history after the mothers giving birth respectively: (1) They took care of the baby as the most important thing; (2) Smoothly fed their babies; (3) The got support from others; (4) They met with great change opportunity. The research conclusion, the key factors revived the Vietnamese physical and emotional health from the family support . The majority of this research participators were small families. It showed no matter they lived with or without extended family both got few family’s support, therefore more cultural sensitive cares from medical professionals were needed. The cultural differences between Vietnam and Taiwan are the way of feeding the baby and doing the month. Due to the concern of caring for their husbands and children, those Vietnamese women couldn’t get the rest fully. The researcher’s consideration of the health professionals for those new arrival immigrants paid respect to the vein of original culture, broke the cultural discrimination out of prejudice. Nervertheless, the health professionals should promote the ability of cultural protection and enhance the care quality to the married migrant. |
