Two hundred and thirty six senior college students who were taking the course were conveniently sampled from a 5-year nursing program. The results showed that: (1) students’ attitude toward this course was 3.33 and anxiety level was 2.83; (2) students’ average performance of this course was 69.67; (3) factors affecting learning outcome included parenting styles, career planning, and residential areas. (4) a positive attitude led to better learning results; (5) confidence of learning was an important predictor of learning results, accounting for 16.1% of the total variance. The study provided an empirical evidence for nursing teachers to create a teaching and consulting strategy which could improve students’ learning process to achieve a better learn outcome. |
