與洗腎機共存：末期腎病變病患之生命經驗

Living with a Hemodialysis Machine: Living Experience of a End-Stage Renal Disease

本研究旨在探討長期接受血液透析病患的生命經驗，採質性研究法，在南部某地區醫院洗腎中心以立意取樣收案，利用錄音及深度訪談十位長期接受血液透析的個案。資料分析與歸納後，結果顯示個案的生命經驗結構包括五個主題，即“生理不適之困擾”、“能量不足而疲憊”，“長期透析而憂鬱”，“自覺殘缺而與人隔絕”，及“歸因宿命以平衡生命”。本研究的結果可提供護理人員做為提供護理措施之依據，及提供針對此類病患進行介入措施研究時之參考。

This article explored the experience of a patient with end-stage renal disease. This qualitative study collected ten patients who underwent hemodialysis in a hospital in southern Taiwan. These patients received an in-depth interview, which was tape-recorded and then analyzed and categorized. The results indicated that the living experiences could be summarized into five categories, including “suffering form physical symptoms”, “insufficient energy”, “depression due to long-term dialysis”, “isolation due to self-concept impairment”, and “concluding with the law of causation”. This article provided nurses with a reference for caring hemodialysis patients and an insight in designing intervention studies in the future.
