The Application of Total Quality Management in Nursing Education

護理教育的最終目的便是培養具有專業護理能力的畢業護生，以期能在臨床工作時提供病患及家屬高品質的護理服務。而要提昇畢業護生之護理能力，學校系統在護生養成教育中，就應將全面品質管理(total quality management, TQM)的精神及理念，有效的應用在提昇護理教育品質上，以增進護生之專業知能，才能符合社會的需求，提高競爭力。本文旨在提供讀者有關全面品質管理的概念，以及於護理教育上之應用。此外，可作為護理教育品質改進之參考。

The ultimate purpose of nursing education is to train the nursing graduates to have professional nursing competency that will provide the high quality nursing services to patients and their families in clinical settings. The nursing education system should apply the spirit and concept of total quality management (TQM) to promote the quality of education. Hence the professional knowledge and ability of nursing students will be enhanced to meet the demand of society and improve the ability of competition. This paper provides the concept of total quality management and its application to nursing education.
